SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Sara Byworth is looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive that will work across multiple retainer and project clients in the fashion and design worlds. The ideal candidate is a passionate, organized self-starter with strong client communication skills who has existing relationships in the editorial fashion or design spaces.
The Senior Account Executive will report directly to the Account Director and oversee Public Relations Assistant. This role is based in New York and is a hybrid working environment with a minimum of 4 days spent in office each week/as needed.
Sara Byworth LLC is a public relations consultancy firm with retainer and project-based clients in the contemporary and luxury fashion, design, and lifestyle industries. Retainer clients include FRAME, Jimmy Fairly, Métier, POLOMI, Sézane, The RealReal, and The Rug Company. Across both retainer and project-based work, the role involves executing PR strategy inclusive of editorial, influencer, and VIP initiatives, as well as concepting and executing events including dinners, runway shows, store openings, and brand collaborations.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Someone who is excited and interested in the fashion, interiors, and celebrity PR landscape and is an avid consumer of media and popular culture.
- Excellent verbal and written skills and organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, ambitious, and eager to learn. A self-starter comfortable leading day-to-day conversations with clients.
- Possess a strong understanding of fashion, influencer, and VIP landscape. Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and clients at once in a fast-paced environment.
- Has existing relationships within the editorial fashion or design spaces.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Gmail/Google Docs, Photoshop, Dropbox, and MuckRack or Cision.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of fashion public relations experience beyond internships required. Agency specific experience is a plus.
- Strong experience in celebrity and VIP relations preferred.
- Experience in managing an intern program is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day communication with clients across all projects, launches, and events.
- Create pitching calendars and craft and send pitches based on trends, cultural events, and product launches. Be motivated to achieve strong results for clients and be creative in ways to secure those results.
- Assist with the creation of strategic short and long-term PR plans for clients.
- Assist with meeting agendas for weekly or monthly meetings with clients.
- Create weekly, monthly, or event specific coverage reports for retained and event clients.
- Track industry trends and identify relevant opportunities for clients.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with editors and stylists.
- Manage in-person appointments with editors, stylists, influencers, tastemakers, and VIPs on behalf of select brands.
- Assist with seasonal influencer and VIP gifting.
- Lead event planning and execution for both retainer and project clients.
- Source and contact vendors for events and scout locations.
- Create and manage invite lists.
- Manage budgets and VIP talent contracts.
- Oversee assistant in creation of face sheets, shot lists, and other event associated materials.

- Manages sample trafficking for editorial and VIP press requests including scheduling messengers and shipments.
- Tracks and monitors editorial and VIP placements, clips credits, and updates placement trackers.
- Researches and maintains editorial calendars, research docs, and media lists as well as maintains master contact lists.
