Solar Engineer

The solar technical engineer will provide specialty chemicals additives technical support and optimization to PV solar cell manufacturers. He/she will work on-site at client sites providing technical support during trials, implementation and optimization of specialty additives used in the cell production process. The role will primarily be based at our customer sites in the U.S. (currently primarily in the greater Charlotte, NC area, and greater Austin, TX area), with the opportunity to travel intermittently to other customer locations around the world for training and support. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Learn about solar cell manufacturing process and our chemical additive solutions via on-site training from other team members and supervisors.
• Identify customer technical specs and analyze and propose most suitable additive solutions.
• Directly communicate with clients on tech specs, technical DOE, test results analysis, etc.
• Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors on client updates, technical requirements, etc.
• Be able to work independently most of the time with remote support from other team members.
• Work well with other team members from other backgrounds and cultures.
