Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Virtual Organic Chemistry Tutor to provide high-quality academic support to college students. As an Virtual Organic Chemistry Tutor, you will help students master chemistry concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and build confidence in the subject. This role is ideal for those who enjoy flexible, student-focused teaching. We are looking for Organic I, Organic II and those that can cover both.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small-group VIRTUAL tutoring sessions in college level organic chemistry.
• Explain complex chemistry concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
• Assist with homework, lab reports, exam preparation, and conceptual understanding.
• Utilize interactive teaching methods to enhance student learning.
• Track student progress (for recurring students) and adjust tutoring strategies accordingly.
• Maintain professional communication with students and/or parents regarding progress and goals.

Qualifications

• Working towards Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills and a student-centered teaching approach.
• Reliable internet connection.
• Passion for education and commitment to student success.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or TA'ing college-level organic chemistry.
• TAs are STRONGLY encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in online tutoring, preferred, not required.
• Familiarity with learning strategies and study techniques to enhance student comprehension.
