Public Relations & Media Outreach Intern Needed

Company: Tribute Band Sessions
Location: Remote
Type: Internship (Part-Time)

About Tribute Band Sessions

Tribute Band Sessions is a fast-growing music interview podcast with celebrity guests that dives deep into the exploding (and surprisingly massive) tribute band industry—a multi-billion-dollar global market most people don’t fully understand… until they do.

We feature conversations with top-tier tribute performers, actors and well-known musicians who also perform in tribute bands, plus managers and industry insiders. Translation: this isn’t just “cover songs”—this is high-level artistry, business, and behind-the-scenes access you won’t find anywhere else.

From sold-out theaters and international tours to themed cruises and large-scale productions, tribute bands are quietly taking over live entertainment—and we’re right in the middle of it… with increasing celebrity outreach and guest bookings adding fuel to the fire.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a creative, and slightly obsessed-with-getting-attention (in a good way) Public Relations & Media Outreach Intern to help us grow.

If you’ve ever thought, “I could totally get this featured somewhere if someone just gave me a shot”—this is that shot.

You’ll help get the podcast in front of the right audiences by landing placements, pitching stories, and spotting opportunities before everyone else does.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

Build targeted media lists (music blogs, magazines, podcasts, local press, digital outlets)

Pitch the show to editors, journalists, and creators for features, interviews, and mentions

Hunt down PR opportunities across:

Online media

Print publications

Local/regional press

Social media + niche communities

Write outreach emails and press materials (no robotic copy—we want personality)

Track outreach and maintain a clean, organized PR database

Monitor coverage and compile “look what we landed” reports

Spot trends and jump on opportunities before they’re saturated

Who You Are

A strong communicator (you can write emails people actually respond to)

Interested in music, entertainment, or media (bonus if you live for it)

Curious about how PR really works—not just theory

Organized enough to track outreach without losing your mind

Comfortable working independently (we won’t micromanage you)

A self-starter who follows through (rare, valuable, appreciated)

Bonus Points If You…

Have PR, marketing, or communications experience (even academic counts)

Know your way around media lists or outreach tools

Are passionate about live music, bands, or the industry as a whole

Have a knack for spotting what could go viral before it does

What You’ll Get

Real, hands-on PR experience (not coffee runs—actual impact)

A front-row seat to a growing podcast with celebrity guest outreach

The chance to build a portfolio of real placements

Insight into the music + entertainment world from the inside

Flexible, remote work (work in pajamas—we won’t tell)
