Production Worker
Production Worker – No Experience Needed
Studio OntheRock • Honolulu, Hawaii • Full-Time • Non-Exempt (Hourly) • Reports to: Production Manager
Pay: $18–$19/hr to start
We’ll Train You
Studio OntheRock is a Honolulu signage and graphics production company. We make signs, banners, and large-format graphics for businesses across Hawaii — and we’re hiring a production team member to help us get jobs out the door.
No prior sign shop or print experience needed. If you like working with your hands, can follow directions carefully, and want to learn a real trade, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day will include:
Inspecting finished print jobs, trimming, grommeting, rolling, folding, and packing them for delivery
Helping with cutting and finishing of graphics using hand tools and shop equipment
Assisting with fabrication and installation of signage under guidance from experienced team members
Keeping your work area and shared shop spaces clean and organized
Managing finishing supplies and flagging when stock needs to be reordered
Helping wherever the production schedule needs you
What We’re Looking For
You’re a great fit if you:
Like working with your hands and tools — fixing things, building things, tinkering
Pay close attention to detail and take pride in doing things right
Can measure accurately and do basic math
Show up on time, follow through, and work well on a team
Are willing to learn new equipment and techniques (we teach from day one)
You’ll also need:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Reliable attendance — we count on our whole team being here
No prior experience in sign shops or printing is required. We hire for attitude and work ethic and teach the rest.
What We Offer
$18–$19/hr starting pay (above Hawaii’s current minimum wage)
Full-time, stable hours in a hands-on shop environment
Learn to operate professional sign-making and production equipment — roll-to-roll and flatbed large-format printers, vinyl plotters, industrial sewing and serging machines, direct-to-garment apparel printing equipment, and 3D printers. Most people never get access to this kind of gear — here, it’s part of the job.
Real training in production skills you can build a career on
Small, tight-knit team where your work actually gets noticed
Variety — every week brings different projects and materials
To Apply: Send a brief note about yourself and why this sounds like a good fit. You do not need a polished resume — tell us about yourself in your own words.
