Montessori Toddler Teacher

Montessori Toddler Teacher (Ages 2 - 3)

Location: Unity School, Delray Beach, Florida

Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year

Unity School is seeking a warm, experienced, and enthusiastic Montessori teacher to join our toddler team. We are a well-established Montessori school that has served families in South Florida for 60 years. Our school community is grounded in harmony, respect, and a shared commitment to nurturing the whole child.We are looking for a positive role model who is passionate about Montessori education, embraces lifelong learning, and collaborates well with others in a dynamic school environment.

QualificationsProfessional Qualifications:

  • AMS or AMI Montessori Primary Certification (preferred)
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with toddler-aged children
  • Knowledge of Positive Discipline or similar classroom management approaches

  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities in a busy school setting
  • Intellectually curious and passionate about Montessori philosophy

Position Details

  • Pay: Commensurate with experience and credentials
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:30 PM (toddler teacher into aftercare)
  • Benefits: Summers and all major holidays off with the option to work up to 4 weeks of summer camp

Primary ResponsibilitiesInstruction and Curriculum:

· Develop engaging, developmentally appropriate circle time lessons aligned with

Montessori principles

· Refresh and rotate classroom materials monthly, following Montessori scope and sequence

Student Observation and Assessment:

· Monitor student progress daily, using observations and assessments to guide individualized instruction

· Ensure student safety and engagement during work time, snack, and outdoor play

Parent Communication:

· Maintain open, regular communication with parents

· Complete progress reports and lead parent conferences with professionalism and care

Classroom Environment and Administration:

· Maintain a clean and organized learning environment, including biweekly classroom section refreshes

· Record daily attendance and manage classroom lunch orders
