Orton Gillingham Tutor
We are seeking college students studying education who are looking for real‑world teaching experience working one‑on‑one with elementary students in the Midlothian area using the Orton‑Gillingham approach. This position is designed for education majors who want hands‑on experience applying structured literacy practices outside of the classroom.
This role offers consistent, practical experience supporting early literacy development while building skills that translate directly to future teaching roles.
Position Details
- Orton‑Gillingham–based reading instruction focusing on phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension
- 4–8 hours per week, more in the summer
- In‑person sessions in the Midlothian area
- Consistent weekly schedule required
- Students and instructional materials provided
Pay
- $17.50–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and training
