Mining Engineer Intern- St. George, UT

Position Overview

 

Looking for a candidate who wants to not only learn the engineering side of the business but the other sides as well. Work will include both engineering tasks, working with crews (Drilling, crushing, etc.). We are looking for a self-starter with a willingness to learn.

Job Summary

 

  • Time will be split among different projects
    • Geologic strata modeling
    • Planning for both exploration and mining
    • Surveying
    • Model reconciliation
    • Crushing
    • Drilling
  • Able to work in teams, collaboratively, and solo
  • Able to travel 10-50%
  • Willing to get dirty

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Completed introduction to engineering/geology course
  • Basic understanding of structural geology
  • Good attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Able to work in severe climate conditions
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk long distances on uneven terrain
  • Beginner level
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD/Carlson
    • Microsoft office
    • Survey equipment
