Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of BLADE’s platform, including web applications, backend systems, and mobile integrations. This is an entry-level, full-time role with strong growth potential. You’ll work closely with engineers and product managers to test features, identify issues, and support releases across production-critical systems.

Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases for new features and existing functionality
- Perform end-to-end testing of core user flows (e.g., booking, operations tools)
- Test web applications, APIs, and mobile-integrated workflows
- Identify, document, and clearly communicate bugs and inconsistencies
- Assist in regression testing during release cycles
- Work with engineers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
- Help maintain test cases, checklists, and QA documentation
- Participate in staging testing before releases
- Learn and contribute to basic test automation efforts over time
Required
- Bachelor’s degree is required (Computer Science degree is preferred)
- 0–2+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or a technical field (internships count)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured testing processes
- Curious mindset and willingness to learn how systems work end-to-end
- Ability to clearly communicate issues and ask good questions
- Comfortable working with web apps and basic technical tools
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Desired
- Exposure to QA tools or platforms (e.g., Rainforest QA)
- Basic understanding of APIs or backend systems
- Familiarity with mobile apps and how they interact with backend services
- Some exposure to command line tools, Postman, or browser dev tools
- Interest in automation or software development

This is a full-time, onsite position at our headquarters in Hudson Yards.
Compensation at BLADE is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) within Joby Aviation. The target base pay for this position is $80,759 - $104,511/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
