Summary

You will serve as a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST in the Administrative Directorate, Information Systems Department of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD.

Duties


  • You will analyze Class VIII logistics systems on a daily basis to ensure functionality by developing, implementing, modifying, and managing databases and ensuring data integrity.

  • You will maintain appropriate security environment including passwords, permissions, and disk management.

  • You will collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and information systems security specialists to develop definitions of needed changes or enhancements.

  • You will provide training, consultations and support to computer specialists, programmers, configuration management.

  • You will ensure rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies, principles, and practices.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications



Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Expertise in supply programs (MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP), and comprehensive knowledge of Class VIII medical logistics, particularly the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system;
2) Technical proficiency in database management, Informix, ISQL, and operating systems like HP-UX to resolve complex issues; and
3) Strong analytical and communication skills.

Education



In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or


3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or


LL.M., if related

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
