Clean Cities Internship - Advanced Transportation (Fargo, ND)

Accelerate, a workforce development initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, is now accepting applications to intern with North Dakota Clean Cities this summer, from June 1- August 14, 2026.
Specifically, this intern will help plan EV ride-and-drive events, create newsletter and social media content, gather fleet contacts for technical assistance, analyze fleet data, identify workplace charging sites, and assist with online webinar planning.
Moreover, this is a unique opportunity to work on advancing transportation technologies locally and to strengthen the nation’s environment, energy security, and economic prosperity.
Whether you're an undergraduate, graduate student, or a recent graduate (within the past year), Accelerate offers hands-on experience, exposure to a wide range of career paths, and the chance to contribute to high-impact projects that will help launch your career in the advanced transportation space.
Here are more details about the internship:
- All majors are welcome to apply, especially those majoring in communications, public relations, business, marketing, environmental sciences, engineering, and urban planning.
- The intern will help plan EV ride-and-drive events, create newsletter and social media content, gather fleet contacts for technical assistance, analyze fleet data, identify workplace charging sites, and assist with online webinar planning.
- Internship is 30 or 40 hours per week over 10 weeks.
- Accelerate offers stipends ranging in total from $4,500-8,640 depending on your academic level, location, and hours assigned by the coalition.
- This internship will take place from approximately June 1 - August 14, 2026 and applications are due by 11:59pm PT on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
