8th Grade Teacher

Job description

Established Private Preparatory school in Arcadia, California, seeks charismatic 8th-grade Teacher for a part-time position. Classes are small with fewer than 15 students. All material and curriculum will be provided.  Additional teaching hours are open for those qualified to teach other topics.  Teaching positions are as follows: 

English

Arcadia: 8th Grade English on Monday and Wednesday and Friday 9:30 - 12:30 pm and/or 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Temple City:  8th Grade English on Tuesday and Thursday, and Friday 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and/or 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Arcadia: 9th Grade English on Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 - 12:30 pm and/or 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Temple City:  9th Grade English on Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 am -12:30 pm and/or 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Rowland Heights: 9th Grade English on Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Arcadia: 10th Grade English on Wednesday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and/or 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Rowland Heights: 10th Grade English on Wednesday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and/or 2 pm - 5 pm

Temple City:  10th Grade English on Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and/or 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Arcadia:  8th Grade English Language Development on Monday and Wednesday from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Math

Rowland Heights: Algebra 1 on Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and/or 2 pm - 5 pm

Rowland Heights: 5th Grade math on Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Temple City: 5th Grade math on Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 - 12:30 pm

Arcadia: 5th Grade math on Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Biology

Temple City on Tuesday/Thursday from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Arcadia on Monday/Wednesday from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm

Rowland Heights on Monday/Wednesday from 2:00 pm -5:00 pm

Chemistry 

Temple City on Monday/Wednesday from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm.

Arcadia on Tuesday/Thursday from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm

Rowland Heights on Monday/Wednesday from 2:00 pm -5:00 pm

Candidate should:

• Completed a Bachelor's degree
• Be versed in classroom management
• The ideal applicant is credentialed or preliminarily credentialed
• Have 6 months of teaching experience
• Have experience working with high school or middle school-aged students
• Commit to a set teaching schedule for 10 weeks from June 1, 2026, to August 14, 2026

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
