The Role
We are seeking passionate and highly capable STEM competition tutors to join our growing team in Tenafly, NJ.
Depending on your background, you may teach:
- AMC 10 / AMC 12 / AIME mathematics
- Competition Physics (Physics Bowl, F=ma)
- Competition Chemistry or Biology
- Science Olympiad events
- Coding & Programming competitions
- Robotics and engineering projects
- Advanced middle/high school STEM enrichment
What You Will Do
Lead Small-Group Classes
Deliver engaging, high-quality, in-person instruction at our Tenafly learning center.
Teach Strategic Problem Solving
Break down advanced concepts in:
- Algebra
- Geometry
- Number Theory
- Combinatorics
- Calculus & Mechanics
- Physics problem solving
- Chemistry/Biology competition topics
- Coding algorithms and computational thinking
- Robotics design and programming
Inspire Deep Thinking
Align with our philosophy of teaching students how to think—not just memorize formulas or procedures. Foster creativity, logical reasoning, strategic thinking, and intellectual curiosity.
Track Student Growth
Analyze mock tests, contest performance, coding projects, and student progress to identify strengths and target weak areas effectively.
Who You Are
Strong Academic Background
You have a strong background in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or related STEM disciplines.
Competition Experience
Previous participation or achievement in competitions such as:
- AMC 10/12
- AIME
- Math Olympiads
- Physics Bowl
- F=ma
- Science Olympiad
- USABO / USNCO
- USACO or coding competitions
- Robotics competitions
is highly preferred.
Strong Teaching Ability
You are patient, articulate, and capable of explaining advanced concepts in a way that middle and high school students can understand and enjoy.
Availability
Available for in-person teaching sessions in Tenafly, NJ.
