Robotic Engineer
Aerobotix is seeking a Robotic Engineer to simulate, program and integrate turnkey robotic systems and automated process equipment within the aerospace, military, and general manufacturing industries. Candidate must be self-motivated, with the ability to work both in a team environment and individually. This position reports to the Principal Engineer.
A successful candidate in this role will:
Setup, simulate and program FANUC robots for a variety of processes based on customer needs.
Support robotic systems being delivered to customer sites.
Generate robotic work cells using offline programming software.
Create robotic paths using both offline software and the robotic teach pendant.
Seek out new technologies/methods to be implemented and tested in development projects.
Support customer production operations in various manufacturing settings.
Clearly and effectively communicate with customers.
Collaborate with a team to evaluate ways to automate processes.
Ability to solve problems and continuously improve safety, quality, productivity and processes.
Be able to use hand and power tools correctly and safely.
US citizen with the ability to possess a DoD security clearance.
Expect 20-30% travel.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Acquire and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with robot simulation software. (RoboGuide, Delmia, Process Simulate, etc.)
Experience with Fanuc 6-axis industrial robots.
Experience with painting, sanding, or measurement devices.
Willingness to Travel
Travel is a requirement for this role and periodically can be extensive. Expect 20-30% travel. Travel requirements include domestic and international locations as well as weekends depending on the customer requirements.
Work Conditions
Work environment is light industrial. Performance of this job requires the ability to handle and manipulate objects, tools and controls.
Compensation is determined based on a combination of factors including:
Geographic location of the position
Relevant professional experience in the field
Educational background and certifications
Work Location
This position is in-person and based at Aerobotix Headquarters in Madison, AL.
Overtime: All overtime hours will be compensated at the employee's regular hourly rate in accordance with applicable labor laws.
