Role Summary

We are hiring a Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, testing, inspection, and documentation of our medical device systems. This role is critical to supporting engineering builds, clinical production, verification testing, and manufacturing operations in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will work closely with manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure products are built safely, consistently, and in compliance with approved procedures and quality standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to thrive in a highly iterative engineering environment.

 

What You Will Do

  • Perform hands-on assembly, soldering, rework, and testing of medical device systems and subassemblies
  • Execute work instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing travelers with high accuracy
  • Perform visual inspections, functional testing, and dimensional measurements
  • Support engineering builds, process development, and manufacturing scale-up activities
  • Maintain accurate Device History Records (DHRs), inspection records, and production documentation
  • Work with microscopes, precision tools, and calibrated measurement equipment
  • Identify and report nonconformances, process deviations, and quality issues
  • Support root cause investigations, NC/CAPA activities, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Assist with process validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ execution
  • Help maintain organized, clean, and ESD-safe manufacturing environments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams
  • Support verification and validation testing activities across multiple departments

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in medical device, electronics, or precision manufacturing
  • Experience with soldering, small-part assembly, and precision rework
  • Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, gauges, and microscopes
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions
  • Comfortable working in regulated environments with quality system requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience working under FDA 21 CFR Part 820 or ISO 13485
  • Experience with electronic QMS systems
  • Experience supporting verification and validation testing
  • Familiarity with process validation activities
  • Cleanroom or controlled-environment manufacturing experience
  • Technical certification or associate degree in a related field
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus

 

Location

On-site in Hayward, CA.

 

Compensation

$75,000 – $110,000 base salary and benefits.
