Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Position Overview

Sandia Family Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LMHC/LPC) to join our growing behavioral health team. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through culturally responsive and trauma-informed care.

This position provides outpatient mental health services including assessments, treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, and coordination of care within a collaborative private practice setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services
  • Complete clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required documentation in a timely manner
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment interventions
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with state licensing boards
  • Collaborate with community providers, schools, and referral sources
  • Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development
  • Support clients with a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and family conflict

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field
  • Current New Mexico license or license eligibility preferred (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LPC, or LPCC)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
