Content Marketing Summer Intern

Cape Fear Energy Systems is seeking a Content Marketing Intern who is creative, driven, and passionate about storytelling through digital media. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation, brand development, and marketing strategy within the clean energy industry. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, independent, and excited to help tell the Cape Fear Energy Systems story through engaging visual and digital content that drives customer acquisition and brand awareness.

Pay:

Seasonal internship, in-office role. $16/hour

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or possessing equivalent relevant experience
Strong creative eye for photography, videography, and visual storytelling
Experience with content editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop) or similar platforms
Ability to create graphics using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools
Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional attitude and customer-service-oriented mindset
Valid drone license or willingness to obtain
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Comfortable working in outdoor environments, including occasional exposure to inclement weather
Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials of moderate weight (8–20 lbs.)
CRM experience preferred but not required
Ability to pass a background screening

Responsibilities:

Capture high-quality photography of installations, team members, and customer sites
Film and edit video content including customer testimonials, project walkthroughs, and team features
Capture drone footage of installations and job sites
Assist with planning, creating, and scheduling social media content across multiple platforms
Support email marketing efforts through newsletter and campaign development
Create engaging graphics and digital assets for marketing initiatives
Collaborate with team members to identify and execute creative marketing opportunities
Maintain organized digital asset libraries
Assist with storytelling initiatives that highlight Cape Fear Energy Systems projects, customers, and mission
Support marketing strategies focused on customer acquisition and brand growth

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in both office and outdoor environments
May require standing, walking job sites, and transporting equipment
Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
