Industrial HVAC Technician
We are currently seeking an Industrial HVAC Equipment Installation Technician Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the construction industry, have experience using power and hand tools, be able to read a measuring tape, and be able to lift 50lbs. Candidate must pass a background check, obtain a TWIC card, and complete random drug screenings and safety classes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Assist in the demolition and replacement of large Air Handling Units (AHUs), Chilled Water Coils, Steam Coils, Boilers, and Fans in industrial and institutional settings.
- Perform jobsite, work truck, and warehouse cleanup.
- Communicate effectively with technicians and project managers to provide project status updates.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a small team.
- Ability to use power and hand tools.
- A means to get to work on time.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
- Ability to pass random drug screening.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, daytime hours.
- Seldom overtime or weekend work required.
- Most work is within a 75-mile radius of Baton Rouge, and employees are home every night.
