Guide to Imbibe is evolving into Insider’s Passport — a modern, place-based guide built to help eager travelers and locals alike explore the best of their region through curated experiences, exclusive offers, and hidden gems.
While our roots began in dining, cocktails, breweries, and nightlife, the Insider’s Passport expands far beyond that. Think coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, attractions, arts & culture, events, wellness, outdoor recreation, historic sites, and more unforgettable local experiences.
We’re looking for creative, charismatic people to help bring that vision to life online!
Position Overview
We are seeking one or more Passport Content Creators / Influencers to help grow awareness, excitement, and conversion for our passport-style guides through engaging digital content.
This role is ideal for someone who loves exploring local places, creating authentic content, and influencing others through personality, storytelling, and strong social media instincts. You do not need to be a celebrity influencer with a huge following—we care more about creativity, consistency, relatability, coachability, and drive.
What You’ll Do
Content Creation & Social Media Promotion
- Create engaging short-form video, photo, and story content featuring Passport locations and experiences
- Showcase restaurants, coffee shops, retail shops, attractions, and hidden gems in an authentic way
- Develop “day in the life,” itinerary, local guide, and experience-based content
- Film and photograph Passport redemptions and featured deals
- Participate in trends while keeping content aligned with brand voice
Audience Growth & Community Building
- Help grow Insider’s Passport social media presence
- Engage with followers through comments, DMs, polls, and other forms of community interaction
- Encourage user-generated content and referrals
- Build excitement around launches, seasonal guides, giveaways, and promotions
- Help position Insider’s Passport as the must-have guide for locals and visitors alike
What We’re Looking For
Required Traits
- Must live within 20 minutes of Washington DC and the Northern Virginia/MD area
- Comfortable on camera and highly capable behind the camera creating content)
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Reels content
- Creative eye for visuals, trends, hooks, and storytelling
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
- Friendly personality with strong communication skills
- Passion for discovering cool places and sharing experiences
Bonus Points For
- Existing social following or creator experience
- Photography / videography skills
- Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or editing experience
- Hospitality, tourism, events, or lifestyle content background
- Strong local knowledge of DC / Maryland / Virginia or other guide markets
Compensation
120 hours over 8 weeks with a flexible summer start date. 15 hours per week over the 8 weeks.
- Hourly wage of $12.77
- Plus modest commissions for units sold
