Pharmacist-in-Charge
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead daily pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the highest standards of patient care. The PIC will play a critical leadership role in managing clinical services, supervising staff, and maintaining the operational and financial performance of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including inventory, workflow, and staff scheduling.
- Provide exceptional patient care through accurate dispensing, counselling, and medication
management.
- Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians and other staff to maintain high service and safety standards.
- Implement quality assurance, safety, and performance improvement programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
- Support business growth through effective management of pharmacy services, including immunisations
and clinical programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for audits, inspections, and internal reporting.
- Ensure the pharmacy operates efficiently, profitably, and in line with company goals.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy
- Minimum of 2 years of community or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmacy regulations and insurance billing.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care and team development.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $70-75 per hour
