Science Director
Science Director: Full-time position with 50-year-old internationally recognized and respected dental research and education institute (CR Foundation, CliniciansReport.org), which tests dental products for manufacturer claims, efficacy and clinical usefulness and reports to dental clinicians.
Duties include working closely with dentists to establish and coordinate research projects and test protocols
- Literature reviews
- Critical thinking
- Pilot tests
- Product evaluations / comparisons
- Compiling data
- Data analysis
- Presenting findings in person, video, etc.
- Writing: status and final reports
- executive summary reports
- abstracts
- journal articles
- Project leader
- Supervisor of others in the department
- Accurate and complete records
- Maintenance of equipment and test apparatuses
- Collaboration with product manufacturers and developers
- Attending and presenting at scientific meetings
- Confidentiality
Education / Experience:
- Ph.D. or MS in dental materials ceramics desired
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Natural or Physical Science:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Biochemistry / Biophysics
- Biomedical Science
- Clinical or Laboratory Science
- Engineering
- Health Science
- Microbiology
- Physics
- Statistics
- Demonstrate past publication or research writing experience
- Experience or interest in dentistry is desirable
