Drama/Theatre Teacher

Christian Fellowship School of Columbia, MO is seeking education or theatre professionals who are able to lead students in the study and performance of drama, theatre arts, and stage production. Responsibilities include planning and implementing engaging lessons, developing students’ acting and performance skills, organizing rehearsals and student work sessions, selecting appropriate performance material, coordinating student roles and responsibilities, and overseeing the preparation and presentation of school drama productions throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive drama lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, self-expression, and teamwork
• Prepare students for performances, including rehearsals, stage management, and technical coordination
• Incorporate learning technology and multimedia tools to enhance theatrical instruction
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with diverse learning styles and special education needs
• Assess student progress through observations, performances, and standardized assessments; provide constructive feedback
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere
• Collaborate with colleagues on school productions, workshops, and extracurricular activities
