Instrumental Music Teacher (Band Teacher)
Christian Fellowship School (PreK-12) of Columbia, MO is seeking education or music professionals who are able to lead students in instrumental music instruction and ensemble performance. Responsibilities include planning and implementing daily lessons and rehearsals, developing students’ musical technique and performance skills, selecting appropriate repertoire, organizing student participation in concerts and school events, maintaining instruments and music resources, and overseeing the preparation of band performances throughout the school year.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Follower of Jesus Christ
- B.A./B.S. degree in teaching or relative content from an accredited institution
- Strongly preferred: Missouri State certification in teaching in appropriate grade/subject area
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Able to establish priorities and manage time
- Can work independently within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environment
- Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
