Sales and Customer Success Intern
We are looking for a part-time Sales and Customer Success Intern to join My Stories Matter.
We help people preserve their life stories, memories, and family history in beautiful books for their children and grandchildren.
This is not cold-calling. You will only be speaking with or emailing potential clients who submitted an inquiry to use our services to help them start, finish and/or publish their memoir. Once they decide to use our services, you will help direct them towards the right service and team members.
Join a supportive team where you’ll work side-by-side with and receive hands-on training from:
- An experienced sales professional (who interned with us before joining full-time) and
- Experienced startup leaders (previously on the leadership team for a previous Unicorn acquisition and a separate NASDAQ IPO from before those companies received any funding
We are flexible when it comes to start and end dates. This position is remote.
How You’ll Contribute to Our Success:
- Learn about potential clients’ goals, motivations, and pain points
- Respond to and follow-up with inquiries through calls and emails
- Help potential clients understand what My Stories Matter can specifically do to help them
- Share insights from communications with potential clients to improve our marketing messaging
- Help explain to new clients what they need to do to get started
- Communicate client questions to the Product team to help improve product messaging
- Contribute ideas to improve our sales and customer success process
- Be a compassionate team member in a collaborative startup environment

Qualifications:
- Strong spoken and written English
- Warm and confident phone presence
- Personable, coachable, organized, and reliable
- Self-motivated, resilient, and proactive
- Comfortable speaking with a wide range of seniors and adult children in a thoughtful and professional way
- Any sales, customer service, outreach, or business development experience is a bonus, but not necessary

Rate: Starting hourly rate based on experience and location
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 10 to 40 per week
Schedule: Normal company hours are Monday to Friday PDT, but you can choose your own hours
