In-Home Music Instructor

Lakeside Music Academy is a growing, student-focused music school dedicated to bringing high-quality, personalized music education directly into students’ homes. We work with students of all ages and skill levels, creating a supportive and inspiring environment that fosters a lifelong love of music.

We are currently seeking passionate, reliable, and engaging music instructors to join our team and teach in-home private lessons. This is a great opportunity for musicians who value flexible scheduling and want to make a meaningful impact through one-on-one teaching.

Position Details:

• Part-time, flexible scheduling
• Competitive pay starting at $40/hour
• Teaching in students’ homes in Edina and surrounding areas

Responsibilities:

• Travel to students’ homes to provide private lessons
• Create engaging, customized lesson plans based on student goals
• Teach technique, music theory, and repertoire
• Encourage consistent practice and student progress
• Communicate with families and provide occasional updates

Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience preferred (formal or informal)
• Strong musical background (degree or equivalent experience)
• Ability to teach one or more instruments (piano, guitar, voice, violin, etc.)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
• Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
