Lab Technician

Summary:

The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products. This role ensures compliance with quality and regulatory standards by performing analytical testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and accurately documenting results. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working in a regulated laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform chemical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products using validated methods.
  • Conduct analytical testing including spectroscopy, chromatography, and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Identify and report out-of-specification (OOS) or unexpected results and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as needed.
  • Accurately document and report test results in accordance with lab procedures and systems.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to communicate testing results and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (preferably Chemistry or Biology).
  • Strong understanding of analytical testing methods and laboratory procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of chromatography and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Experience with laboratory software and data acquisition systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
