Evening Activities Coordinator
As the Camp Med-o-lark Evening Activities Coordinator, you'll be a creative director, logistics wizard, and nightly hype-builder all in one. You'll plan and run our all-camp evening programs—the events that turn an ordinary day at camp into a memory campers talk about for years—in our screen-free, non-competitive community.
This is a non-bunk role, so you'll live in shared adult housing with the rest of our non-bunk staff while still being right in the middle of camp life.
Core Responsibilities
Plan the Nightly Magic
Design and schedule a full season of all-camp evening activities—Staff Talent Show, Paint Your Counselor, campfires, outdoor games, performances, International Night, Casino Night, and the new traditions you'll dream up along the way.
Bring Events to Life
Handle the behind-the-scenes work that makes a great event feel effortless—props, music, sound, lighting, signage, supplies, setup, and cleanup—so every program starts on time and lands the way you imagined it.
Rally the Staff
Recruit and coach counselors and specialists to MC, perform, run stations, and play their part. Communicate clearly, share the plan early, and make it easy for your teammates to show up and shine.
Read the Room
Pay attention to camper energy, weather, and the rhythm of the session—then adapt on the fly. Some nights call for big and loud, others for quiet and connected, and you'll know the difference.
Be a Great Teammate
Coordinate with program heads, cabin staff, and camp leadership to keep evenings woven into the larger flow of camp—because the best summers, and the best nights, are built together.
