Survey Crew Chief
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey operations for a variety of civil engineering and land development projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, leading a team, and contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise a survey crew in daily field operations
- Perform boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys
- Operate GPS, total stations, and other survey equipment
- Interpret construction plans, plats, and legal descriptions
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of field data and documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors
- Maintain field notes and prepare reports
- Uphold safety standards and promote a safe work environment
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of surveying experience, with crew leadership preferred
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles and field procedures
- Experience with equipment such as Trimble or Leica systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Experience with survey software (Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.)
