Plant Health Aide

MUST APPLY BY MAY 18th.

This position serves as support to MDARD's plant and pest detection programs: 

• Setting and checking box tree moth traps.
• Field work collecting and processing insect samples.
• Maximum of 719 hours per year and 129 hours per month.
• Work days are M-F and the hours per week/day vary by project and time of year.
• The position lasts from June-December.
• For travel, hotels and meals will be reimbursed, state vehicle may be provided.

Preferred Education and Experience

High School Education

Some biology/insect experience either in a classroom environment or at another job is preferred.

Location:

Statewide and includes travel, including overnight.
