Surf Camp Counselor-Surf Instructor

Surf Diva is looking for an enthusiastic Surf Camp Counselor and Surf Instructor to teach surf lessons at La Jolla Shores in San Diego.

This is a great opportunity for students who love the ocean, enjoy working with people, and want an active outdoor job.

You’ll help students learn the fundamentals of surfing while creating a fun and supportive environment in the water.

Responsibilities:

Teach beginner surf lessons

Lead land-based instruction and safety overview

Assist students in the water

Ensure a safe and positive learning environment

Preferred Skills:

Strong surfing ability

Comfortable ocean swimmer

Experience teaching, coaching, lifeguarding, or working with groups

Minimum Qualifications:

At least 2 years surfing experience

Must be 18 years or older

Ability to pass surf skills assessment

Background check required

Preferred Certifications:

American Red Cross Lifeguarding

CPR

First Aid

Schedule:

Flexible scheduling depending on seasonal needs. Ideal for students.
