Finance Fellow – Carleigh Beriont for Congress (NH-01)

Carleigh Beriont for Congress is hiring a Summer Finance Fellow for the 2026 cycle in New Hampshire’s First District.

Carleigh is a teacher, union organizer, mom of two, and Chair of the Hampton Select Board. She helped lead the campaign that unionized Harvard’s graduate student workers, winning higher wages, childcare subsidies, and anti-retaliation protections for thousands. She holds a PhD from Harvard and teaches government and U.S. history at the Kennedy School. She’s running a grassroots campaign with no AIPAC money, no corporate PAC money, and no social media presence, putting every dollar into organizing across NH-01. Carleigh is fighting for affordable housing, Medicare for All, a livable climate, gun safety reform, and an end to Congressional stock trading.

Summer fellows will be a core part of a small, fast-moving campaign team, reporting to senior campaign staff and working closely with Carleigh.

This full-time, in-person role is based in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District.

Role Overview

The Finance fellow will support the fundraising operation that powers everything the campaign does. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director to prepare for call time, build out the donor universe, and execute finance events.

Core Responsibilities

  • Help prepare daily call time materials, including donor briefing sheets, prospect research, and call sheets
  • Maintain donor records and pledge tracking in NGP, ActBlue, and related platforms
  • Support finance event execution: invitations, RSVPs, run-of-show, check-in, and post-event follow-up
  • Conduct prospect research to identify and qualify new donors across the district and beyond
  • Draft thank-you notes, donor correspondence, and stewardship outreach
  • Assist with FEC compliance tasks, including contribution tracking and reporting support

What You’ll Gain

  • A working knowledge of how a competitive congressional campaign’s fundraising operation runs day-to-day
  • Hands-on training in NGP, ActBlue, and finance compliance fundamentals
  • A strong foundation for future roles in campaign finance, development, or political fundraising

A Strong Candidate Will Be

  • Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive donor and financial information
  • Extremely detail-oriented, especially with names, numbers, and data entry
  • Comfortable with research and able to synthesize information into clear, useful briefings
  • Resilient through the grind of call time

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Prior campaign finance, development, fundraising, or research experience
  • Familiarity with NGP, ActBlue, or similar donor management platforms
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills

Logistics

  • Schedule: 10-20 hours/week, schedule flexible with the opportunity to attend and staff campaign events on nights and weekends
  • Compensation: A stipend of $500 per month is available. The campaign is also happy to coordinate with universities to facilitate course credit.
  • Start date: Immediate, rolling review
  • End date: End of summer, with the possibility of extension through November 2026 contingent on the primary outcome
