Registered Nurse Supervisor

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor with the Department of Human Services, you will support a team focused on dependable and compassionate care at the Selinsgrove Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position oversees nursing services to support safe, organized, and compassionate care at the Selinsgrove Center. This role guides staff, monitors care practices, and supports compliance with health standards. As a part-time Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Care Oversight: Ensure nursing services meet health standards and support resident well being
- Staff Direction: Guide and support nursing staff in daily care and treatment activities
- Quality Monitoring: Review care practices and identify areas needing improvement
- Emergency Response: Provide immediate care and leadership during urgent health situations
- Policy Compliance: Support adherence to facility procedures, regulations, and care guidelines
- Team Coordination: Work with other departments to maintain strong communication and continuity of care

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment
- Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work every other weekend and have rotating days off during the week.
- Overtime as needed
- Free parking

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
