DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides medical care, clinical oversight, and health guidance for individuals supported by Selinsgrove Center. The role ensures consistent monitoring, clear communication, and appropriate treatment planning. As a Staff Physician, Intellectual Disabilities, you will perform the following duties:
- Medical Care: Conduct examinations, order diagnostic studies, and assess individual medical needs
- Daily Rounds: Observe individuals, evaluate illnesses, and identify conditions requiring medical attention
- Clinical Records: Document medical findings, progress notes, and treatment decisions according to standards
- Team Coordination: Communicate significant medical updates and participate in interdisciplinary meetings
- Family Contact: Speak with families or guardians during hospitalizations or serious medical events
- Ongoing Learning: Maintain required continuing education hours and engage in professional development activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment, up to 22.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 3 days per week, with a 30-minute lunch. Schedule to be determined.
- You will have on-call hours.
- Overtime as operationally necessary
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
- Three years of post-residency experience in the practice of medicine, including one year which involved a direct primary care caseload.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of an active license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine or Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine.
- You must obtain an active registration to prescribe medication from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as a condition of hire.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
