Food Scientist – Recipe Development & Freeze-Drying Specialist

 

We are seeking a Food Scientist with strong experience in recipe formulation and freeze-drying processes to lead the development of shelf-stable, high-quality food products. This role will focus on optimizing formulations for taste, texture, and nutritional integrity while ensuring compatibility with freeze-drying technology. The ideal candidate combines culinary creativity with scientific rigor and has hands-on experience scaling recipes from bench to production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of food chemistry, water activity, and preservation techniques
  • Experience with pilot plant or commercial-scale production
  • Familiarity with sensory evaluation methods

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize recipes for freeze-dried products
  • Design and refine freeze-drying processes and parameters
  • Conduct pilot trials and scale formulations to production
  • Evaluate product quality, shelf life, and rehydration performance
