Business Data Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, IT, and Data Engineering teams to gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Analyze commercial and sales operations data to identify trends, business opportunities, performance insights, and areas for improvement.
- Review existing SQL and Python code to retrospectively document data warehouse structures, ETL processes, data flows, and data domains.
- Work independently to understand complex data environments and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Support the design, development, and enhancement of analytics and reporting solutions for key commercial metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, document business processes, and align data models with business goals.
- Provide input into data governance and data quality initiatives to maintain the integrity and reliability of commercial data sources.
Qualifications / Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Sales Operations and Commercial Operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing, analytics, and data engineering principles.
- Ability to read and understand SQL and Python code for documentation and analysis purposes.
- Strong domain knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial data, sales processes, and business operations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a complex data environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
