Quality Improvement Intern
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Quality & Continuous Improvement Intern to support process improvement initiatives across operations. This role will provide hands-on experience in analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and contributing to solutions that enhance quality, safety, and productivity. Projects will be scoped and guided by team members to support learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities within operations and support teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement
- Support documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation of process improvements
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and efficiency
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality reviews as needed
- Assist in preparing summaries and presentations of findings and recommendations
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; willingness to learn data analysis tools
- Interest in learning Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with guidance and in a team environment
