Position Summary:
The Graduate Assistant (GA) will provide instructional and administrative support for the HBS 111: Introduction to Business School course and assist with research and assessment initiatives in the Dean’s Office. This position is designed to enhance the GA’s professional development while contributing to the success of undergraduate students and the continuous improvement of academic programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Support for HBS 111
- Assist faculty with classroom activities and student engagement.
- Facilitate small group discussions and provide academic support to students.
- Help manage course materials and online learning platforms.

Grading and Assessment
- Support grading of assignments, quizzes, and exams under faculty supervision.
- Assist in tracking and reporting student learning outcomes for HBS 111.

Research and Assessment in Dean’s Office
- Collect and analyze data related to program effectiveness and student success.
- Assist with accreditation-related documentation and reporting.
- Support research projects focused on curriculum development and student engagement.

Administrative Support
- Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for the Dean’s Office.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a graduate program at St. Cloud State University.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn data analysis tools.
- Ability to work with people of culturally diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in business or related field.
- Experience with research or data analysis.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., D2L Brightspace).
