AI Engineer

AI Engineer

Location: Manhattan (or remote, US time zones)
Compensation: Competitive cash and meaningful equity
Start: As soon as possible

We are hiring an AI Engineer to help build production agentic systems for regulated industries.

You will work on agents that do real work across real systems. This means building the full loop, not just prompts. State management, browser automation, retries, evals, observability, user interfaces, workflow orchestration, and the safety rails needed for teams to trust AI in production.

This is a high-ownership role. You will ship to real users, talk directly with customers, and own meaningful parts of the product from day one.

What You’ll Do

  • Build AI agents that operate across web apps, internal tools, and business workflows
  • Own meaningful surface area in our agent and automation stack
  • Ship production features every week
  • Design systems for state, retries, error recovery, evals, and observability
  • Work directly with customers to understand where workflows break
  • Make architecture decisions across models, frameworks, infrastructure, and UX
  • Help define what trustworthy AI automation looks like in regulated environments

What We’re Looking For

  • You have shipped AI products that real people use
  • You know the difference between a good prompt and a good system
  • You have worked with LLMs, agents, or automation in production
  • You can turn vague problems into shipped product without waiting for a perfect spec
  • You write code that other engineers can read, extend, and trust
  • You care about reliability, edge cases, and user trust

Bonus Points

  • Browser automation experience with Playwright, CDP, computer use, or similar tools
  • Experience building agents that use tools, recover from failure, and complete workflows
  • Background in regulated or workflow-heavy industries
  • Desktop, Chrome extension, or cross-platform application experience
  • Early-stage startup experience

Why Join Us

We are early enough that your work will shape the company. We are far enough along that there are real users, real revenue, and real product pressure.

You will not be handed tiny tickets. You will help build the architecture, product, and trust layer for AI agents that need to work in the real world.

If you want to build the systems that let AI actually do work, we would love to meet you.
