Graduate Nurse

Augusta, Maine, United States | Nursing | Full-time

Salary: $37.34 - $41.89/hour (Employees in this job classification begin at Step 5 of the pay scale) 

•             Additional shift differential $3.00/hour while working 2nd shift hours

•             Additional shift differential $4.50/hour while working 3rd shift hours

•             Additional weekend differential $2.10/hour while working weekend                       hours 

In addition, candidates may qualify for a $200/month nursing student loan reimbursement.

Our Graduate Nurse positions are for newly licensed Registered Nurses. After a two-week classroom orientation, you will continue your training on your unit, working under a preceptor and working closely with our Nurse Educators through weekly meetings. Training is individualized for each nurse and continued support and guidance is provided. 

When you become a Nurse at Riverview Psychiatric Center, you’ll provide guidance and mentorship alongside your essential nursing role providing medical and psychiatric nursing care to our patients within an inpatient hospital setting. Our nurses perform general nursing activities on units, provide supervision over paraprofessional staff, assess emergency situations taking appropriate action, conduct individual and group counseling therapy, intervene therapeutically when patients exhibit signs of behavioral escalation, and report on patients' condition recommending changes to their treatment programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current State of Maine RN license.
