About Thought GPS
Thought GPS is a location-based audio storytelling app that lets creators attach voice clips to real-world places. Listeners can discover stories, tours, memories, comedy, history, recommendations, and campus experiences tied to the places around them.
We are an early-stage startup building a new way for people to experience cities, campuses, neighborhoods, and cultural spaces through GPS-triggered audio.
Internship Overview
Thought GPS is seeking a Community Management Intern to support user communication, customer support, feedback collection, and community engagement. This role is ideal for a student interested in startups, creator communities, social media, customer experience, and consumer apps.
The intern will help engage with early users, creators, students, and community members while helping Thought GPS build a welcoming and active user base.
Responsibilities
- Help respond to user questions, comments, and feedback
- Support communication with creators, students, early users, and community partners
- Monitor social media comments, DMs, and community conversations
- Help collect and organize user feedback for the product team
- Identify common user questions, issues, and suggestions
- Support onboarding materials, FAQs, tutorials, and user education
- Help encourage creators and listeners to stay active on the app
- Assist with community campaigns, creator spotlights, and engagement ideas
- Track recurring themes in user feedback and community activity
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, responsive, and comfortable communicating with people online. Prior community management experience is helpful but not required.
Strong candidates may have experience or interest in:
- Community management, customer support, or social media engagement
- Student organizations, clubs, creator communities, or online communities
- Writing clear and helpful responses
- Collecting and organizing feedback
- Startups, creator platforms, mobile apps, local storytelling, or campus engagement
- Helping users understand new products or features
- Building positive relationships with users and creators

Internship Details
