Junior Data Analyst

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Contract: Long-term Contract (with expectation of eventual full-time conversion)

Pay: $30-35/hr

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to join our analytics team. In this role, you will contribute to data-driven decision-making by developing reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses that provide actionable insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and help translate complex data into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reports to monitor performance metrics and initiative progress.
  • Write Python scripts and automation tools to streamline data workflows, ETL processes, and repetitive analytical tasks.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, operations, and business teams to understand data needs and deliver insights.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative, learning-focused team environment.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Help document data processes, pipelines, and analytical methodologies.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write, review, and optimize queries.
  • Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
  • Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash/Shell) for task automation and data pipeline support.
  • Interest in working with Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and support others.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with version control using Git.
  • Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
  • Knowledge of big data tools such as Hive or Hadoop.
  • Experience with scripting for data ingestion, transformation, or reporting automation.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Background in analytics for network, operations, or infrastructure data is a plus.
