Kids Pastor

Position: Kids Pastor  (Full-Time, Salary: Competitive, + Benefits)

 

Advances the mission of Real Life by overseeing all aspects of our Kids Ministry. Our Kids Pastor will work under the direction of the Executive Pastor and in partnership with parents, to provide a discipleship-rich, Jesus-focused, safe, loving, and fun environment for kids in grades K-5th. Our Kids Pastor will equip and empower parents, a leadership team and volunteers to effectively shepherd the ministry. He will also work closely with our Lead Pastor to build and oversee our local & global missions ministry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Real Life Kids

Create a clean, safe, and fun environment for children to encounter and grow in Jesus Christ.

Ensure Real Life Kids functions through a strong leadership team & fully staffed volunteer team:

Recruitment

Scheduling

Training/Discipling

Team building

Oversee all aspects of communication to parents & kids including but not limited to: email, texts, video, fliers, web content, social posts content.

Lead, plan, prepare for, and participate in weekly Real Life Kids gatherings.

Oversee & participate in guest follow-up communication each week to kids and families.

Master & utilize all of Real Life systems, tools, and processes including but not limited to Planning Center, Asana, Clearstream, Google Drive, Dropbox, Mailchimp, Annual Plans.

Oversee all aspects of Real Life Kids Events: Camp, Quarterly Connect Events, etc.

Oversee the Follow-up for kids interested in baptism, discovering readiness & directing next steps.

Oversee Babies-PreK Director as a direct report ensuring that ministry area is effective and up to standards.

Regularly Discipling Parents to disciple their children.

Provide Pastoral Care to people of all ages @ Real Life giving special attention to Kids & their families. (Crisis Care, Hospital Care, Pre-Marital, Marital Care, Weddings, Funerals, etc.)

Expectations: Able to flourish in a fluid, growing organization, relational, able & eager to learn & leverage emerging technology, works well in & under authority, problem solver, low drama, “can do” enthusiastic attitude, high momentum, resourceful, able to maintain physical, spiritual, emotional & relational health. Resolves conflict in a godly & mature way. Possess enthusiastic support from his family.
