Additive Manufacturing and Characterization of Multifunctional Materials (PhD position)
The research will focus on fabrication, material testing, and process-structure-property-performance relationships in advanced multifunctional materials.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Background in additive manufacturing or advanced manufacturing processes
- Experience with material testing such as tensile, compression, hardness, fatigue, fracture, or related methods
- Familiarity with characterization techniques such as SEM, EDS, XRD, optical microscopy, profilometry, thermal analysis, or similar methods
- Ability to prepare samples, conduct experiments, and analyze data
- Strong laboratory skills and commitment to safe experimental practices
- AI/ML is a plus
