AI/ML-Guided Design and Discovery of Materials (PhD position):
The research will focus on developing data-driven and physics-informed approaches to predict material behavior, guide synthesis and processing, and accelerate the discovery of advanced materials for extreme environments.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Strong interest in materials design, discovery, and optimization
- Experience with AI/ML methods for materials modeling or data analysis
- Background in molecular dynamics, density functional theory (DFT), or computational materials science is desirable
- Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
- Motivation to work in an interdisciplinary research environment
