Sales and Social Media Specialist
About Us: At Pacific Nook, we help people turn their houses into homes with high-quality, stylish furniture. We are a growing local business in Redmond looking for a dynamic, creative, and outgoing individual to be the face and voice of our showroom—both in-person and online.
The Role: This is not your average retail job; this is a dual-purpose role designed for someone who loves connecting with people and knows how to build an audience.
When customers are in the store, your absolute priority is closing sales and providing an incredible, welcoming shopping experience. When the showroom is quiet, you will switch hats and become our in-house content creator—using that downtime to film TikToks, photograph new inventory, and build our digital presence to drive more foot traffic and boost overall sales.
Your Day-to-Day: On the Sales Floor:
Drive Sales: Warmly greet customers, uncover their design needs, and confidently guide them toward the perfect furniture pieces to close the sale.
Customer Experience: Provide pressure-free, knowledgeable advice about our materials, pricing, and delivery options.
Showroom Maintenance: Keep the store looking visually appealing, ensuring tags are accurate and displays are tidy.
Behind the Camera:
Content Creation: Film, edit, and post engaging short-form video content (TikTok, Instagram Reels) highlighting new arrivals, design trends, and behind-the-scenes showroom life.
Community Engagement: Reply to comments and DMs, actively engaging with our local digital community to turn followers into paying customers.
What We Are Looking For:
The "It" Factor: A naturally outgoing, charismatic personality. You love talking to strangers and feel totally comfortable both pitching a sale.
Digital Nativity: You understand how Instagram and TikTok work, what audio is trending, and how to make a standard piece of furniture look amazing on video.
AI Savvy (A Big Plus!): Familiarity with, or eagerness to adapt to, AI technology (such as using ChatGPT for quick caption copywriting, or Canva's AI tools for design) to work smarter and maximize content output.
Driven to Sell: You are highly motivated by hitting sales targets, boosting numbers, and helping a local business grow.
International Students Welcome! We are happy to support OPT/CPT candidates, provided the role aligns with your degree requirements.
Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a relevant degree program (Business, Marketing, Communications) is a huge plus!
