About the Role
St. Paul Lutheran School is searching for a qualified classroom teacher to join our team. As the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Preschool Lead Teacher, you will work as an instructional team leader to create holistic learning experiences that support the academic and social-emotional growth of children ages 3 to 5.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and implement lesson plans based on current approved curriculum.
Work with the GSRP Specialist to uphold all classroom requirements, standards, and guidelines.
Demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to inspire mixed-culture and mixed-ability classes.
Maintain current and professional communication with parents, the School Director, and the Principal.
Keep accurate records of each child’s developmental stages and progress.
Recognize and respond to the individual needs of each child to build character and self-esteem.
Adhere to all guidelines contained in the St. Paul Faculty Handbook.
Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching.
Academic Focus: A transcript documenting a major (rather than a minor) in child development or early childhood education.
Certification: A valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA), Early Childhood General and Special Education (ZS), Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement.
Willingness to complete specific certification requirements within three years while working full-time will also be considered.
Skills: Proficiency in computer web-based programs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Competencies: Ability to multi-task, culturally competent, and results-oriented thinking.
Compliance: Must complete a criminal background check as required by law for positions involving regular contact with children.
Compensation & Benefits
Wages: Starting at $24 per hour or higher, depending on education requirements.
Status: Full-time.
