Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Sales / Business Development Intern to support our commercial team in the U.S. This internship offers hands-on experience in B2B sales, market intelligence, and renewable energy, working closely with experienced sales managers on real commercial opportunities.
This role is ideal for students interested in clean energy, consulting, or strategic sales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Research and identify potential clients (solar developers, EPCs, IPPs) across the U.S.
- Build and maintain prospect databases using LinkedIn and internal tools
- Support outbound outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn)
2. Market Intelligence
- Analyze solar market trends, projects, and key players
- Track utility-scale solar projects by state (TX, CA, FL, NJ)
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and industry research
3. Sales Support
- Assist in preparing commercial proposals and client presentations
- Support ongoing deals and RFP processes
- Help maintain and update CRM systems
4. Data & Reporting
- Track key sales metrics and pipeline performance
- Prepare internal reports and dashboards
- Ensure data accuracy in CRM tools
Candidate Profile
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree (Business, Engineering, Energy, Economics or related)
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
- Fluent in English
Preferred
- Interest in renewable energy or sustainability
- Previous internship in sales, consulting, or business analysis
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
