Essential Functions

This is a 12-month position for 2026-2027.

The Office of Student Leadership and Involvement (SLI) within the Division of Student Life and Wellbeing is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support essential functions in SLI, with a specific focus on supporting over 200 student organizations, including all student organizations representing the three tier system, Tier 1, 2, and 3. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Providing immediate support to student organizations regarding event submissions and MavSync support.
  • Assisting with tracking and updating student organization registration and renewal processes.
  • Assisting with developing and executing training for student organization leadership, transition materials, and advisors.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Work Schedule

20 hours per week. Varies and can include mornings, afternoon and/or evenings as well as potentially weekends.

Additional Duties

Other duties related to your appointment may be assigned in the course of your employment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Admission in good academic standing (not on probation) into UNO Graduate School in a graduate degree program
  • Experience working in and/or leading a student group/organization.
  • Knowledge of multiple social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Customer service, leadership, and organization experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Salary

$1708.16/month (plus tuition remission)
