Transitional Kindergarten Lead Teacher

Current Hours: 20 per week: 11:30am - 3:15pm

You are the vital bridge between our preschool program and our K-8 program.

General Characteristics…

You are a committed Christian who maintains an active relationship with God through regular worship.

You demonstrate Christ-like patience, compassion, and forgiveness along with firmness, professionalism, and confidentiality in your interactions with others.

You can plan engaging lessons that support the development of the students in your class.

You can create a nurturing and positive classroom structure.

You are able to communicate professionally with parents and colleagues regarding student achievement. 

You are able to complete the required OCLQS and OCCRRA trainings and participate in ongoing professional development.

You are in alignment with the values and goals of Bethlehem Lutheran Church/School.

Minimum Qualifications…

At least 18 years of age

A high school diploma or equivalent

Ability to pass an FBI/BCI criminal background check

CPR/First Aid training (or willingness to complete)

Training in communicable disease management and child abuse recognition (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications…

Child Development Associate (CDA) or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting.
