Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Sequoia Behavioral Consultants is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our RBTs work directly with neurodiverse individuals and their families to promote meaningful skill development and behavior support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized ABA programs focused on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
  • Provide direct in-home services under the guidance of a BCBA.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure quality service delivery..
  • Display compassion and empathy towards the client and stakeholders.
  • Accurately collect and record data daily.
  • Maintain documentation and strict confidentiality.
  • Abide by the BACB ethics code while obtaining required certifications.
  • For every 10 hours of 1:1 service, the BCBA will supervise for at least 2 hours.

Required Qualifications

  • RBT Certification (required or must be actively pursuing).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college or related coursework (preferred).
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodiverse populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and spoken.
  • Comfortable working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Understanding of ABA principles and ability to apply those within a variety of contexts.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull at least 20 lbs.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Provide immunization records.
  • CPR/First-Aid Certification preferred.
  • Crisis Prevention Certification/Behavior Management training preferred.

Schedule

  • Part-time position
  • Monday–Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Compensation

$19.00 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials.
